Moore suffered a torn ACL and will undergo surgery next week, ending his 2016 season, TSN broadcaster Farhan Lalji reports.

Moore's 2016 campaign ends after just four games, as he totaled 15 receptions for 205 yards and one touchdown. The slotback suffered the torn ACL during Saturday's win in Regina. The Western Division leading Lions will use their upcoming bye week to get acclimated to playing without the six-year veteran. Geraldo Boldewijn appears to be the most likely candidate to take over in Moore's absence, although nothing official will be announced until next week.

Moore is set to have an MRI performed on his knee Monday, Mike Beamish of the Vancouver Sun reports.

While it's unclear exactly when he suffered the injury, it seems likely it occurred during Saturday's victory over the Roughriders. Moore will have an MRI performed Monday, which should indicate the severity of the injury, as well as how long it might keep him sidelined. Moore's coming off a season-high of 88 yards this past game, so it's a tough blow for the 30-year-old wideout. He should be considered questionable for the Lions' Week 6 matchup with Calgary on Jul. 29 until further notice.

Moore totaled 88 yards and a touchdown on three receptions in Saturday's 40-27 victory over the Roughriders.

The 30-year-old connected with Jonathon Jennings on two key long completions that were intergral to the victory. Moore put together a 52-yard catch-and-run in the third quarter that put the Lions inside the Roughriders' 10-yard line, a drive that ended up in the end zone when Jennings hit offensive lineman Jovan Olafioye for an unlikely touchdown. The veteran wideout then hauled in a 30-yard score to give the Lions a three-point lead in the fourth quarter. Moore's yardage total was his best in a game this season, and the touchdown was his first visit into the end zone in 2016.

Moore notched five receptions for 74 yards in Friday's 31-21 preseason loss to the Stampeders.

The 29-year-old standout set a career high in catches for Winnipeg in 2015 with 76 , while also generating his second-best yardage total (899). Moore now returns to the team he spent the first three seasons of his career, and for which he tallied a career-high 1,105 yards in 2013. The savvy wideout figures to form a formidable combination with dynamic signal-caller Jonathon Jennings in 2016, given the respective pedigree of both players.
