Lima will face Amanda Ribas in a strawweight bout at TUF 25 Finale on July 7 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com reports.
Lima has more experience than her opponent, Amanda Ribas, who is making her UFC debut. She is also 12 years older. Since joining the UFC in 2014, "Ju Thai" has gained a 3-2 record (9-3 MMA) with losses coming from formidable fighters Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Carla Esparza.

Fantasy AnalysisIt was widely assumed that Lima would be at a striking disadvantage against Aldrich, but the 34-year-old was able to get the better of her opponent with clean, hard shots, while also dominating with superior wrestling and grappling. While It's worth noting that Aldrich was a late replacement making her UFC debut, there is no denying that this was one of Lima's best performances in the Octagon. She has won three of her last four fights, moving her professional MMA record to 9-3 (3-2 in the UFC).
Fantasy AnalysisA complete inability to defend a takedown led to Lima's demise. You can actually make an argument that Lima deserved to win Round 1, she did more off of her back than Esparza did with her top position, but it's hard to win a 15-minute bout when you spend nearly 10 of those minutes on your back. Lima is very strong and a competent fighter, but it's unlikely that she will be cracking the top-10 of a deep UFC women's strawweight division anytime soon. Lima is now 2-2 in the UFC (although it must be noted that her first lost came against current champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk)
Fantasy AnalysisLima looked good, but not dominant against an inferior opponent. She won the total strike battle by a count of 118-31 and she controlled the majority of the fight on the ground. Lima hasn't shown elite skills in her three UFC bouts, but she's so strong that she should have a chance against most any women's strawweight fighter.
